Leeds handed significant advantage in pursuit of Premier League transfer target

Share

Leeds are aiming to sign Manor Solomon on a permanent deal this summer, and their prospects of securing the move currently appear promising.

Leeds’ interest in re-signing Solomon is well known, following his impressive loan spell last season. The 25-year-old contributed 10 goals and 12 assists in the Championship, and with the club prioritizing players with Premier League experience for their return to the top flight, bringing him back to Elland Road seems like an obvious choice.

Solomon is focused on securing a return to Leeds this summer, and the likelihood of the deal happening seems to have improved.

Leeds on standby as Tottenham reach verdict on Manor Solomon

As reported by ESPN (via LeedsUnited.News), Tottenham have no plans to retain Solomon, with head coach Ange Postecoglou considering the winger surplus to requirements. This increases the likelihood of Solomon making a return to Leeds in the summer transfer window.

It comes as no surprise that Tottenham are looking to offload Solomon, with the funds from his sale expected to be reinvested into first-team additions. A potential deal with Leeds is reportedly valued around £16 million, which would be a positive outcome for both clubs.

The chances of Solomon returning to Leeds next season continue to grow. He could be the first of several signings Daniel Farke brings in ahead of the 2025-26 campaign starting in August, and he’s unlikely to be the only current Premier League player to make the switch.
